Me and Mellissa at Consol Energy Open House

August 15

Well its been 6 weeks since my last post - I am a procrastinator so the delay is expected.

Summer has been hot and humid - just the way I like it. I will never miss snow.

Participated in the Kazoo Memorial, in memory of my good friend Bobby Kacerski. Jeff Valentino and I tied for 2nd but lost in a score card playoff.

Also participated in the Greenville Industrial Golf tournament where each team was pared with a long drive professional. Carl Wolter, the 2002 long drive world champ was our pro - man can he hit the ball. Our team placed second.

On a sad note, I lost two neighbors - Peggy Walko, my econ teacher in high school and Harold Stafford. I will miss both of them.

Well on to another week of work. I can write more but I am ready to call it a night.

45 weeks to 60.

Journey to 60

I turned 59 on June 28 and will be posting my thoughts, comments, whatever over the next year. I may post daily, weekly or what fits the situation or my mood.

60 - Never really thought about it... Probably thought more about turning 40 and 50. 60, hell, that was my Grandma's age, my Great Uncles and later my Mom and Dad and now........I am close to joining the club.

A quiet 4th of July weekend - dinner on Saturday at the Foxburg Inn followed by cocktails at Avalon. Sunday, a picnic at Wally and Tammy's. Today $176 to repair the VW followed by relaxation in the backyard and a late walk around Buhl Park.

Ready for another week. 51 to go.
